uncover the mold hiding in your home
WE KNOW WHERE MOLD LIKES TO HIDE
At first glance testing for mold might seem straightforward. The problem is that mold likes to hide, and air samples taken in the middle of a room aren't good at finding it. Air samples and other simple testing methods often say that everything is fine, even when it’s not. If high mold counts are detected, they can't tell you where it’s hidden. And if visible mold is found, one sample can't tell you if it's the only problem, or if there's more hiding elsewhere.
Recently, I was called in to look at a newly renovated house that had already been inspected 3 times over the last 2 years. The problem was that one of the homeowners still needed to wear a mask inside to keep from feeling the effects of what they were sure was mold. When I investigated I found hidden pockets of mold next to their bed and next to the desk in their home office. Even the newly refinished basement had high levels of undetected mold.
Depending on your objective, I have more than a dozen techniques and types of analysis I can use for investigating your home. Over 30 years of experience in construction and building science, plus advanced training, have shown me where mold likes to hide. After all it’s not just about identifying mold, it’s about understanding how it got there so it doesn’t come back.
Working together is easy. First we’ll talk through your circumstances. Next, I’ll come in to inspect, and you’ll get a written report that includes custom color coded interpretations that will give you a complete and holistic view of your home. Lastly, we’ll hop on the phone to go over your report and answer any questions you have.
Don't waste years suffering due to hidden mold problems that went undetected. Doctors who know mold, know their treatments won't work well if you're still living in a moldy home. Even dead or dormant mold is still a health risk. This is why the EPA, CDC, as well as mold doctors, all say the mold must be removed, not killed. Once the mold is gone and the factors causing it have been fixed, you'll breathe better, sleep better, and the treatments your doctor gives you can have a lasting effect.
